CHRISTINA YIJIA REN ART

Christina Yijia Ren is an interdisciplinary artist working across painting, visual design, virtual reality, sound, interactive media and production design. Born in China and based in Boston, she creates immersive environments that combine traditional art foundations with digital technologies. Ren holds an MFA in Film and Media Art from Emerson College and a BFA in Media Art from Northeastern University.

 

Her practice extends from drawing and painting into virtual space, merging visual storytelling with interactive and spatial media. Working with hand-made imagery, sound, and 3D forms, she builds atmospheric environments shaped by memory, the subconscious, and shifting inner states. She treats technology as a continuation of her artistic language, using it to construct spaces where visual and sonic elements translate psychological experience into immersive form.
